2012 Holiday Cookie Contest Official Rules
Contest Prizes
One (1) Grand Prize winner, as chosen by Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com, will receive a new KitchenAid 4.5 Quart Stand Mixer or a $200 Amazon Gift Card. Winner residing in the United States will have the choice between the mixer and the gift card. Winner residing outside the United States will receive the gift card.
One (1) Runner-Up Winner, as chosen by Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com, will receive a new Escali Primo Multifunction Digital Scale or a $30 Amazon Gift Card. Runner-Up residing in the United States will have the choice between the scale and the gift card. Runner-Up residing outside the United States will receive the gift card.
One (1) Runner-Up Winner, as chosen by Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com, will receive a new Linden Sweden Adjustable Metal Cooling Rack or a $20 Amazon Gift Card. Runner-Up residing in the United States will have the choice between the cooling rack and the gift card. Runner-Up residing outside the United States will receive the gift card.
Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection reserves the right to add additional prizes and to change the current prizes to equal or higher values as needed.
Contest Deadline
Holiday Cookie Contest 2012 is accepting submissions now through 11:59pm (midnight) Pacific Time, January 6, 2013. Only submissions submitted online at (www.best-ever-cookie-collection.com/holiday-cookie-contest-2012.html) will be accepted.
Contest Submissions - How to Enter
Visit Holiday Cookie Contest 2012 and complete the online contest entry form. No purchase necessary and there is no entry fee. There are some restrictions in some U.S. states and there may be restrictions in some countries. This contest is void where prohibited.
Valid contest submissions require at least one quality photo and 150 words (can be a combination of the recipe along with a little story) describing your technique or the origin of the recipe or anything you think other cookie bakers may want to know. Go ahead and flaunt it - this is not the time to be humble! The more original your story, the better!
The maximum image size you can upload is 800x600 - please resize your image(s) accordingly.
You may enter more than one favorite recipe, but each valid contest entry must be unique - NO duplicate recipes will be accepted.
Who Can Enter
We have no restrictions on who can enter. Our contest is open to contestants of all ages as well as both food professionals, amateurs and hobbyists. Anyone with a favorite cookie recipe is welcome to enter.
By submitting your entry any recipes, stories and photos become the property of Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com and will not be returned to you. All entries should be non-commercial and non-promotional to be considered for prizes.
Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com (contest sponsor) is not responsible for failed contest submissions, or errors or omissions in printing or advertising this contest.
How the Winners are Selected
All eligible Holiday Cookie Contest Recipe entries will be judged by Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com staff. In making our final decisions, we will consider overall submissions by the following criteria:
- The uniqueness and originality of the recipe (50% of total)
- The creativity of the story (25% of total)
- The clarity of the photo(s) (25% of total)
In the case of any ties, we reserve the right to choose winning recipes at random.
Contest winners will be notified on or before Sunday, January 13, 2013 by email.
Winners will be notified by email and must respond within (10) days or else they will be disqualified and forfeit the winning prize. If your winning prize is returned as undeliverable, you may be disqualified.
Best-Ever-Cookie-Collection.com reserves the right to cancel this contest at our discretion.
