Cranberry Chocolate Cereal Bars Recipe
A luscious no bake cereal bar recipe that will have you giving up the store bought packaged bars for good. Full of energy-packed ingredients, these cranberry chocolate cereal bars make a great afternoon snack. Stow one in your briefcase or backpack so you never have to resort to snacking on candy bars again!
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate or carob chips
- 3/4 cup roasted, shelled sunflower seeds
- 1 cup quick cooking oats, uncooked
- 7 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup honey or rice syrup
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 1/2 cups crunchy-style peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon almond extract
- Lightly spray a 15x10-inch jelly roll pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- Combine the first three ingredients (cranberries through sunflower seeds) in the bowl of a food processor. Pulse 3-4 times until coarsely chopped.
- Transfer mixture to a large bowl and add the oats and cereal.
- In a medium saucepan over low heat stir together the honey, sugar, and peanut butter, cooking until bubbly.
- Remove from the heat and stir in the remaining powdered milk, vanilla, and almond extract.
- Pour the mixture over the cereal mixture and mix with a wooden spoon until well coated.
- Pour the mixture into a prepared pan and press into the place. We like to use clean hands that are slightly wet for this job.
- Cool 15 minutes and then cut into desired size and shape.
- Cool completely before removing from the pan. Store in airtight containers between layers of wax paper.
Chocolate No Bake Cereal Bars Recipe
One taste of this quick and easy homemade cereal bar and you will never want another packaged energy bar. Keep one of these tasty chocolate no bake cereal bars in your purse, or briefcase for when you need a burst of energy to carry you through a busy day.
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate, coarsely chopped
- 1/4 cup peanut butter
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 4 1/2 cups granola cereal
- 1 1/3 cups sweetened coconut flakes
- Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large saucepan set over low heat, melt the chocolate, peanut butter, and condensed milk, stirring until well combined and smooth.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat. Stir in the remaining ingredients until well coated.
- Dump mixture into the prepared pan and press into place. We prefer to use clean moist hands for this.
- Chill in the refrigerator 1 to 2 hours or until set.
- Cut into desired size bars.
- Store in a covered container between layers of wax paper.
Maple Cranberry Crunch Cereal Bars Recipe
A sweet, crunchy, chewy, tasty treat, made extra special with the flavors of maple and cranberry. These maple cranberry crunch cereal bars, are perfect at any time of year, but especially during the Fall holiday season.
Be sure to use pure maple syrup - not maple flavored pancake syrup in this recipe. Make these cereal bars with pistachios for the colors of christmas.
- 1/3 cup pure maple syrup
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cups miniature marshmallows
- 1 1/2 teaspoons maple-flavored extract (optional)
- 6 cups honey and nut flakes & clusters cereal
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup chopped pecans or pistachios
- Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large saucepan set over low heat cook the maple syrup and butter until melted and bubbly.
- Add the marshmallows and cook, stirring often until they are melted.
- Remove the saucepan from the heat.
- Mix in the remaining ingredients, stirring until combined and well coated.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and press into place with a large square of wax paper or our favorite tool - clean slightly wet hands.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into desired size bars.
- Store in covered containers between layers of wax paper.
Butterscotch Toffee Cereal Bars Recipe
A delicious, easy no bake bar cookie that is perfect for both holidays and everyday. If you love the flavors of butterscotch and toffee you owe it to yourself to give these chewy, crispy, no bake butterscotch toffee treats a try. With just 5 ingredients they are a quick and easy cook's dream!
- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 (10 ounce) package miniature marshmallows
- 3 tablespoons butterscotch instant pudding mix
- 6 cups crisp rice cereal
- 4 milk chocolate-covered toffee candy bars, chopped
- Lightly spray a 9x13-inch baking pan with cooking spray and set aside.
- In a large saucepan set over low heat melt the butter.
- Add the marshmallows and butterscotch pudding mix and stir with a wooden spoon until melted.
- Remove saucepan from heat.
- Add the cereal and candy bar pieces, stirring until well combined and coated.
- Pour mixture into prepared pan and press into place.
- Cool completely.
- Cut into desired size bars.
- Store in covered containers between layers of wax paper.
