Easy Chili Powder Pecan Crackles Cookies

Chili powder and pecan crackles cookies are so easy because they start with Devil's Food Cake mix.

Chipotle chili powder, an unexpected but delicious match with chocolate, is the surprise ingredient that transforms regular chocolate devil's food cake mix into flavorful cookies with a nutty and crunchy texture.

You will find that chili powder is mostly made from chili peppers, but it's also blended with other spices like garlic powder, cumin, oregano and salt, so it's probably not as spicy as you might think.

The Chipotle Chili Powder used in this easy cookie recipe will add an intriguingly smoky flavor.

Chili powder is usually reddish-brown color and offers hints of fig, chocolate and plum - and complements the chocolate cake mix nicely.
