There is some question around the details and actual chain of events as to whether this addition of chocolate happened on purpose, or by lucky accident.
But all we can think is, does it really matter? Thank you Ruth for the invention, regardless of how it came about!
The results were, and continue to be, spectacular and enjoyed daily by people all around the world.
