White Chip Orange Drops

Here's a fun and unique twist on one of America's most beloved cookie recipes.

These delicious drop cookies are flavored with white chocolate baking chips and grated orange peel - a flavor match made in heaven!

One of the greatest things with most cookie recipes is that the "add-in" ingredients can be easily swapped.

For example, if you don't like white chocolate baking chips, you can substitute peanut butter chips or chocolate chips.

Or, if the recipe calls for walnuts, but you like almonds, you can just swap them out.

This makes for an almost limitless possibility of cookie flavor and recipe combinations, which is perfect for all types of cookie enthusiasts.

I am not a huge fan of white chocolate, but something about combining it with orange works really well in these cookies.

White Chip Orange Drops Cookies Recipe

Preheat oven to 350F degrees. Line 2 or 3 baking sheets with parchment paper. Alternatively use ungreased baking sheets.
In a small bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt.
In a large mixing bowl beat the butter, granulated sugar and brown sugar until creamy.
Beat in egg and orange peel until well mixed.
Gradually add dry flour mixture and beat until combined.
Stir in white baking chips until distributed throughout.
Drop dough by rounded tablespoons about 2 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are light golden brown.
Remove from the oven and all cookies to stand on sheet for 2 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
