by Marcia Lemberg

Here is a family-favorite holiday recipe for a candy type of cookie. We like it best with Chex Mix, but below we include ideas for variations that include Cheerios, granola or Golden Grahams instead.
Have fun with this recipe and create your own delicious masterpiece.
White Chocolate Cereal Bark Recipe
Ingredients:
- 6 cups Chex rice or corn cereal
- 1 lb. white chocolate melting chips - from Michaels or AC Moore
- 3 cups broken pretzels
- 1 cup dried cranberries
Directions:
Mix the cereal, cranberries and pretzels in a large bowl.
Melt the white chocolate chips in the microwave, stir every 30 seconds until melted.
Pour over the cereal mixture and layout on a cookie sheet lined with parchment or wax paper.
Let sit until cooled, break up into pieces and pack in pretty cellophane bags. Tie with colored ribbon and attach the recipe on a recipe card.
Variations:
- Use Cheerios instead of Chex
- Use raisins instead of cranberries
- Add in mini marshmallows
- Add in peanuts or substitute for the pretzels
- Use granola instead of the pretzels
- Use butterscotch chips instead of the white chocolate
- Use Golden Grahams instead of the Chex cereal
